When a homeowner gives us a call for service on their HVAC system, we know they want to get up and running as soon as possible. The owner of this lovely single family home in Marion, VA, in Spottswood Place, wasn’t getting the AC comfort she wanted, and thought she might have a refrigerant leak of some sort. A call like this is very common, and something we are used to handling. Luckily we were able to get out and check the system out that week, and make sure this home was cool and comfortable in no time!

Diagnosing AC Issues

Alex noticed that the AC unit would kick on when it was cold, but once it got hot, it would no longer turn on when it needed to, but that using a hard start, they could get the compressor working again. This is the equivalent to the starter motor in your car starting to go, when you sit behind the wheel praying this time, when you turn the key, the thing will start when you need it to.

As they began to talk about solutions, and that it was clear that the compressor would need to be replaced at some point in the future, the homeowner asked for a quote on a new system.

Fix or Replace?

One of the toughest decisions to make on an aging HVAC system is whether it’s time to start considering a new system. As systems reach the end of their lifespan, they start breaking down more frequently and require more repairs. It’s always sad to see the summer go, but as the heat begins to drop, it’s time to start thinking about getting your home ready for fall. Installing A New AC System In Kingsport, TN

We recently installed a new air conditioning system for a business in Kingsport, TN. One of the best compliments we can receive from a customer is when they recommend us to their friends and family. That was the case with this project, which we were happy to be a part of.

We had recently been out to a home to replace an old AC unit for a homeowner. They were so pleased with their estimate and consultation, that they decided to recommend us to her boyfriend, Timothy. He has a business in Kingsport, TN, and their supply warehouse was in need of a new cooling system.

One of our HVAC experts. Nate, went and visited Timothy’s business to see what would be the best solution to keep the warehouse cool and comfortable. When he arrived he saw that this warehouse was used to store ammunition. It’s VERY important for ammunition to be properly stored, for safety reasons, and for longevity. Extreme highs and lows in temperature are not good for storing ammunition, so the proper AC system for this warehouse was crucial for more than just feeling comfortable.

This business owner decided to go with a 4 ton Trane RunTru AC System. These systems are reliable, and energy efficient. The AC system is going to have to run all day and night during the summer to keep the warehouse temperature regulated. The last thing Timothy wants is to incur new costs for the business, so keeping the energy bills down is important.
